Quality and Certifications
D.E.M. S.p.a.

All DEM filters comply with the current standard and are type-approved

All DEM products are designed and manufactured in accordance with current standards and approved by major international safety institutes.

  • 100% of production is tested for both electrical and mechanical parameters.
  • 100% of the batches is statistically controlled.
  • Requirements of product quality and reliability are agreed with the customer (PPM), together with self-certified supplies.

Before to bring the machines to be certified, we can test EMC problems and provide the best solution to reduce radio interference.

AL.CA. Ltd., D.E.M. Ltd., and Ades Ltd. together decided to establish a Quality Management System that complies with ISO 9001:2015 requirements, each one for its own activity as stated in the system documentation.

DEM Ltd. adopted a ‘Quality Assurance’ System, based on regulatory lines of certification UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, a fundamental tool to guarantee our Clients the reliability of every single activity of each Company. For us it is important to ensure the conformity of supplies to contractual requirements, the system improvement, and the monitoring of the maintenance of customer satisfaction.

We share with you the value of our work

Radio frequency interference (RFI) is unwanted electromagnetic energy phenomena within the frequency range generally used for radio communications.

They are generated both by electrical equipment specifically built to produce high-frequency energy (microwave ovens, medical equipment, telecommunications equipment, etc.) and by equipment and machines using electromechanical and electronic devices or motors (such as washing machines, portable utensils, stove, gas lighters, boilers, switch-mode power supplies, etc.).

Conventionally, disturbances between 10 kHz and 30 MHz are considered conducted, and those between 30 MHz and 1 GHz are considered radiated.

The laboratory is also equipped for tests concerning the measurement of magnetic fields with reference to human exposure CEI EN 62233.

A climatic chamber is available in our laboratory where electronic components are tested according to specific procedures.

International standards impose measurement criteria and limits on the emission of radio interference, with which all equipment placed on the market must comply: in all EU countries since 20 April 2016, the EEC Directive 2014/30/EU on electromagnetic compatibility has been in force. In compliance with this legislation it has been made mandatory CE marking of electronic and electromechanical equipment. The most effective and, at the same time, most economical method of overcoming this problem is to isolate the equipment from the power supply by using appropriate passive circuits (capacitors and inductances) called interference filters.

These filters perform a dual action:

  • Limiting the radio interference emitted by the equipment towards the network.
  • Immunise the equipment itself from interference coming from the network.
Reference Standards: Emission Measurements
  • CEI EN 62233 Measurements that can be carried out on all equipment mentioned in table A.1 of the standard
  • CEI EN 55011 Measurements of radio interference conducted on AC power supply port
  • CEI EN 55014-1 Measurements of conducted and radiated radio interference in the ranges 9KHz-300MHz on AC power supply port
  • CEI EN 61000-3-2 Single-phase equipment up to 16A
  • CEI EN 61000-3-3 Single-phase equipment up to 16°
Reference Standards: Susceptibility Measurements (Immunity)
  • CEI EN 61000-4-4 Electrostatic Discharge Immunity Test COMPLETE
  • CEI EN 61000-4-3 Immunity test on radiated radio-frequency fields range 80MHz-1000MHz only PRE-COMPLIANCE
  • CEI EN 61000-4-4 Immunity test on rapid voltage transient (Burst) single phase C.A. power supply holder and signal holder with capacitive clamp
  • CEI EN 61000-4-5 Surge Immunity Test single phase C.A. power supply port
  • CEI EN 61000-4-6 Immunity Test to conducted disturbances induced by radio frequency fields (Injected Currents) single phase C.A. power supply port and direct injection where possible
  • CEI EN 61000-4-8 Immunity Test to magnetic fields at mains frequency, maximum coil size 1 metre
  • CEI EN 61000-4-11 Immunity Test to mains voltage dips and short voltage reductions for single phase C.A. power supply port
  • CEI EN 61000-4-13 Test of immunity to low-frequency harmonics and interharmonics for single phase C.A. power supply port
